Step 1. Order your Comodo SSL Certificate
First you will need to order the certificate from our online ordering system.
To select your desired Comodo SSL Certificate and place an order click here.
After you have placed your order with SSLTrust through our online ordering system and your order is payed in full you can begin the SSL Certificate Generation Process.
To gain access to the next step of generating your certificate you will be required to click the link in an email sent to your account email address. This is automaticly sent once your new order is payed in full. If for some reason you have not recieved this email plase first check your spam box and if still not recieved please contact support for a quick reply.
Step 2. Generate a CSR
First you need to create a Certificate Signing Request ( CSR ). This will pass on the information required by Comodo to generate your SSL Certificate. We recommend you create this CSR on the server the certificate will be used, this will make sure the key generated from the CSR will be available on the server when you install the certificate. You may obtain manuals for different servers to help generate your CSR by clicking here. Or you may use our online CSR Generator by clicking here.
Step 3. Request SSL Certificate with CSR
Once you have your CSR, click the link sent to you on payment of your new order ( Mentioned in step 1 ).
This will take you to your SSLTrust Account Manager where you can begin your SSL Certificate request by entering your CSR and business details, If you have a multi-domain SSL Certificate, you will have additional SAN fields to enter your extra domain names. If you have a wildcard enabled certificate you will need to enter your domain name like the following:
.mydomain.com ( using the instead of www )
this will allow all sub domains to work such as www.mydomain.com , mail.mydomain.com , secure.mydomain.com.
Make sure to enter a values in ALL fields, if you do not have a fax number, enter your normal phone number instead.
You will then be required to select an email to validate your domain name. such as webmaster@mydomain.com or admin@mydomain.com. Make sure you have no spam filters that may block emails coming from the Certificate Authority, as you will be emailed a link you need to click on and approve the SSL Certificate order. This is to validate ownership of the domain name to you.
if you have a domain validated certificate it will be issued within a few minutes.
Step 4. Business Verification
When comunicating with Comodo your order ID will be your Partner order ID which is located in your SSLTrust Manager under the service you have ordered.
With Comodo you will be required to verify your business details for all business validation or extended validation products. This includes Comodo checking the local government business registry ( ASIC for Australian businesses ) so make sure your business details are up-to date such as your phone number and address.
You will be required to send some documentation (no more then 6 months old) to prove your business entity to comodo. For a list of approved documentation from your country please refer to this table:

You will be required to have you business listed one of the following websites for businesses outside of Australia:

You will be required to have a DUNS number:

You will also be required to have your domain WHOIS information up-to date and valid with your business details. Where domain registration is private, the domain registrar is required to unblock the privacy feature.

Extended Verification
For extended validation certificates the following forms will need to be filled out and sent to comodo once your request has been sent.

You can send the above forms once completed to evdocs@comodo.com, please also quote your domain name in the email and unique comodo order ID if you have it.
Once your business has been varified which can take upto 5 business days you will be emailed your new SSL Certificate.
